For over 18 years now, MANUTAHI has evolved into a tradition for families, friends, and associates. Many generations of dancers continue to grow as our family continues to expand. We have been graced by many blessings throughout the years and now have 4 sister groups: Manutahi Moloka'i, Manutahi Maui, Manutahi Orlando, and Manutahi Texas. Not only do we dance as a group, but we consider each group member as family and support each other through life's challenges. We also love to get together and have fun!

In 2007, our group was blessed to raise enough funds to send our instructors and leaders to Tahiti. We met many new friends and formed our own hanai ohana in Tahiti, as we prepared to set up our voyage back with a large group of our dancers. We learned so much: from local language, experiencing the spiritual enlightenment at the Tahitian Marae's, eating more healthy, becoming inspired by the technique in Tahitian dance, drumming and costuming, to eating up all the delicious local favorites. We look forward to returning!

We perform for small to large audiences at non-profit events, local venues, private and public parties, and for family and friends. In 2007, we were asked to perform in the Hawaii Opera Theater's presentation of "South Seas" and also regulary do a show at PearlRidge Shopping Center, UPTOWN, every other month on the last Friday of the month. Contact us if you'd like us to spice up your next event!

MANUTAHI maintains its excellence in dancing through discipline, dedication, and rigorous training. We pride ourselves in our traditional style and relish in sharing it with the community at local competitions, as well as outer island and mainland Tahitian Fetes.
